Surkhet, National Library Day 2082 was observed in Surkhet with various activities. American Corner Surkhet, one of the nine American Spaces in Nepal, organised Library Management Training with various librarians working in various adacemic institutions in Surkhet. The Interative Session was facilitated by Dambar Dhakal, president of Nepal Library Association Karnali Province and Chief Librarian of Surkhet Education Campus. He discussed various aspects of library management with the participants which consisted of librarians from 10 different schools from Surkhet.
Sangram Chaudhary, Chief Librarian of Mid West University and Vice President of Nepal Library Association presented technical terms and terminologies used during library management and brifed about the various softwares and digital tools used in library manegement. American Corner Surkhet program co-ordinator Nischal Kandel shared his expereince in the libraries of Denmark during his University days. He also introduced various librariries across Europe through a powepoint presentation and discussed the features of each libraries.
The session was followed by a tour of the American Corner Surkhet library where Program Co-Ordinator Kandel briefed the participants about the books available, membership, lending procedures and book classification and record keeping techniques in American Corner Surkhet.
